Welcome to Meadowlands Family Health Center
The Meadowlands Family Health Center was established November 28, 1992 with a mandate to provide and expand its offerings of comprehensive health care services. Within this mandate, the Center converted to a Family Health Organization (FHO) January 1, 2009, which has provided the necessary funding to increase our staff and institute the beginnings of our electronic health records.
Our staff includes ten family physicians, two registered nurses, two registered practical nurses, chiropractor, athletic therapist and massage therapist; the latter three constituting our Meadowlands Therapy Clinic.

Hours of operation:
Our general practice clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
In addition, a daily urgent care clinic is available only for patients who have a family doctor at our Center:
The new urgent care schedule is as follows:
- Monday-Friday: 9:00am-8:00pm
- Week-ends and Holidays 10:00am-1:00pm
Please note that the urgent care schedule is subject to changes at any time; always call us first to verify the urgent care availability.
The clinic is usually closed on December 25th and January 1st
The urgent care hours are subject to change depending on severe weather and staff illness. Please call us to verify daily availability as there a limited number of same-day urgent care appointment slots.
We have a nursing team available to our patients for allergy and B12 shots, any shots already prescribed by a physician and TB skin tests. No appointment is needed. Come to our clinic and ask to see a nurse. They are available between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday. You can always contact the clinic to verify the nurse availability for a certain day.

Our receptionists are available to take your call Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and from10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
We regret that we cannot take voicemail messages. If your call is not answered, we will ask you to please try again. General messages left in referral or clinical trial extensions will NOT be returned.
It is our intention in 2012-2013 to introduce on-line bookings and for patients to have secure access to their patient records. There may be the potential to ask questions of their physician from within their medical record through a secure email process within the OSCAR electronic medical record.
We do understand that it can be frustrating getting through to us via phone and are actively looking at solutions to improve this aspect of the practice.

Few reminders for the patients:
- Please bring a valid health card with you when coming to see a physician or a nurse. If invalid, lost or forgotten, a reimbursable fee may apply.
- Appointment cancellations must be made no less than 24 hours prior the scheduled appointment or no-show fees may apply.
- We are not able to provide appointment-reminder phone calls due to limited resources. Please remember your appointment information.
