I called today Sunday 4th (1230)and whoever answered the phone was not very friendly. Her replies were very cold, short and she didn’t seem very interested in helping me. Most of your staff during the week are very kind and helpful. This woman was not.
Two things: 1) It would be great if you had an email service; 2) I just had occasion to speak to someone at the from desk, name of Jennifer. Very professional, very pleasant, very efficient. Goodonya Jennifer!
Your website is great, but not all of your phone staff are great.
Some of them are in fact terrible! Very rude and unprofessional.
They need to understand they are the first point of contact for patients and they need to do their job with more care, attention to detail and professionalism. I am sure you can figure out who they are.
The website has greatly improved, and the drop-times and doctor coverages are a great addition!
My comments have to do with the Drop-in schedule coverage page: maybe add some grid-lines to increase readability?
You might consider a single page with the drop-in schedule on a separate “print-off” page, suitable for printing and posting on a fridge door… also consider updating the drop-in schedule on a weekly basis (including the name of the doctors for drop in on weekends) for “the week of..”, that way we know it’s current. I know that it would take weekly updating by the webmaster, but it would only take a minute or two at most.
I’ve been a patient at the Clinic for at least 15 years (I’ve lost count of the years) and I’ve always been satisfied with the service. I wish you all at the Clinic only the best!
I’ve been a patient at this clinic since about 2005, and you have all been great over the years.
All of the doctors and staff are professional but also very warm and friendly, and I always feel comfortable here.
If I could suggest one area that could use some improvement, it would be the phone system. However I read on your front page that you are working on improvements to this, including the addition of online services. Good job.

I agree with all of the comments about your phone recordings. I waited about 20 minutes and the person on the other end of the line was not very pleasant. I also find it is now difficult to make an appointment with my Doctor who I have been with for 20 years and as a result, I end up going to a walk-in clinic or the Emergency.
One Suggestion – why not create a new link on your web-site (Book an Appointment) to allow your patients to book their appointments rather than trying to reach to front desk – This would provide much better service & this way the patient can pick their appointment on-line.
This site is a great resource, it’s nice to be served by a physician and clinic that understands the potential of technology.
One suggestion, perhaps you could have a guide to your telephone tree so that those who want can go directly to the option rather than having to listen to the whole message. You could also have the applicable option number beside the phone number on on various pages.
Just a quick suggestion – would be helpful to have a list of local blood clinics.

All of Ontario doctors are overloaded with patients…medical support staff are overwhelmed with phone calls from people, some sick, some distressed, some just grumpy because it is so hard to get an appointment.
I think Meadowlands does a terrific job under the circumstances – and has smart, communicative, compassionate doctors who take the time to answer questions. Yes it takes a while to see them- but worth the wait.
How many posters could honestly say they would be as efficient and upbeat if they were on the other side of the reception glass? I don’t think I could. We should have a National “Doctor Appreciation Day”.
It would be nice if some changes could be made to your policy with regards to the priority that children get in your clinic. On more than one occasion I have had to have my child treated at alternative locations because the clinic was either full or their was no one available to take 10 minutes to diagnose a painful ear infection or other ailment and prescribe the appropriate course of treatment. I understand that everyone should be treated equally and that the doctors are responsible for a large number of patients. However, this is all meaningless to a child under 5. The nice thing about having a family physician and a clinic in the same location is that these children become familiar and gain trust with the nurses and doctors if they continually see the same faces. Not to mention the fact that their medical records would be more complete, just incase there is a trend in something that is going on with their overall health. When exactly does the front desk bumping someone else’s appointment back by a few minutes come into place, if fevers are concerned? It would appear to me that if I do call and tell them that I have a child with a fever and earache they are more then willing to refer me to another clinic. After hours clinic hours would also be helpful.

I love the website it is great. The only problem I have is I have been trying to call to make a appointment now since 9:30 and it is now 11:10am today and yesterday I tried 5 or 6 times and I have yet to be able to get through. I don’t believe everytime I call they are so busy they can’t answer the phone. It seems your new staff doesn’t want to answer the phone as I know in the past(which I have been a patient for the past 20 years) I have never had this problem. I noticed the last time I was in that the front end staff has changed, and unfortunatly I don’t believe they are doing there job. I hope you will speak to them about this problem, and hopefully get it fixed I noticed on this website there has been others that have made comments about this.

Your telephone recording directs us to mfhc.ca Please note that over the phone the “f” character sounds like “s” so some people may have trouble finding your site as I did.
I agree with a previous comment that the site should indicate when the nurse is avaiable to give the flu vacine should be added to the web site.

I have been coming here for almost 20 years and I find the clinic and doctors have only improved over this time frame. Your new system of making drop in appts.seems to be working, it would go better if all your staff could know how it works, Things will only prove as they get more used to the idea. Keep up the great work everyone!!
An email to contact you would be great. Sometimes, all we need is a simple answer and a response by email from one of the nurses or the receptionist would simplify everyone’s life.

What does it mean when I call during office hours and am told that “the sectretaries are currently on another line”, so I need to call back at another time? Shouldn’t I just be put on hold until they are ready? Unless I go down to the Centre right now, I have no way of communicating. An email address might be a good way to cut down calls if you get too many.
